Welcome to the University of Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST) Rwanda Campus.
I am deeply proud to lead this exceptional university during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
UMST is a dynamic, cosmopolitan institution nestled in the heart of Kigali, Rwanda. Our university offers a welcoming environment across all faculties, fostering world-class training, research, and education with a commitment to sustained excellence. Over recent years, UMST has built an impressive legacy in education, research, and community service. Our university continues to evolve, embracing meaningful changes to enhance the student experience.
Rwanda is a warm, welcoming nation with open-hearted people and a vibrant community. We are grateful to the government of Rwanda through the high education council (HEC), and the Rwanda medical council as well as University of Rwanda (UR) for graciously hosting some of our students. We are further expanding our cooperation with UR, working on joint postgraduate degree programs and collaborative research initiatives.
Since its establishment in 1996, UMST has shown a steadfast commitment to advancing education, research, and community service. Our founders and administrators, led by Professor Mamoun Homeida, are esteemed academicians dedicated to helping students realize their full potential in leadership and education. With decades of combined experience in higher education, clinical practice, and research, they bring a wealth of knowledge to our university.
